The piece is made in the form of a small handled vase and, although unsigned, looks very much like souvenir china that was imported from Dresden Germany by Wheelock. It is possible that because it is unsigned that is pre dates 1891, when the McKinley Act mandated that all imported china be marked with the country of origin. It
