This rare formation of botryoidal purple agate is only found in one place in the world a 25 square kilometer area of the Manakarra mining district on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi (Celebes). The color of grape agate ranges from a light lilac to deep purple. Some specimens show a spectrum of colors from turquoise and green to blue to purple. Rounded balls arise
